Have you been able to download the new 3.0 upgrade yet. Do you know when it may come out in summer?

I have the Iphone 2.0 and I do love it expect for the lack of video and being able to send and receive a photo.

I do not think it is fair that MMS will be available to 3G Iphone but not the first one. It does suck~ debating what I do, it all depends on how awesome this update is!!!

And I don't understand some people…unless you have an Iphone….don't comment!

There are an awful lot of people that bash the iPhone. Of course the obvious reasons are for the extended lack of MMS and the copy and paste feature [which is a big "Thank God" feature for me]

Other than that it's miles ahead of other phones. There's still only a handful of phones with downloadable apps and Apple now has almost 30,000!

And like others have mentioned, I failed to see that I'll have to pay for the update. I have an iPhone therefore I get it free. If you buy and iPhone after it releases then it'll come with it. And if you have an iPod Touch then you should have to pay for it anyways. Besides that, it'd only be $10.00 and I can easily spend that much on apps in a week if I want.

I just looked at the N97 too. It looks somewhat impressive but considering it retails for $699 [not including any discounts] is a little extreme considering the iPhone was only $400-500 if I recall correctly.

I'm not saying that it's a bad phone but maybe it's a bit overpriced for what it offers. I can almost guarantee that any software updates won't be free.

The same can be said of Windows phones too. Microsoft wouldn't let you have their snot rags for free, much less a firmware update haha.

Why are there all these people getting so angry about a handheld device? I have an iPhone and I use Apple computers for home and work. I use them because I like the OS and design of the products. Its that simple. Sure there were some basic phone features that were left out of the os on the iPhone, but Apple are catching up with the new update. If you don't like one product, you have the choice to buy another. Some people here need to get out more!

If you read the article again, it mentions that the new upgrade is FREE for current iphone users. I bought mine last September and have not had to pay for anything since. Clearly you don't have the slightest idea at how amazing these phones are. You're completely ignorant on the subject; therefore shouldn't post. I have no complaints about the phone as it is. The fact that they're adding these extra features are just wonderful bonuses to an already great phone! Nothing rivals the iphone.

Listen "son" it does not take forever to sync, it takes a while to back up, and clearly its not itunes, your computer is shit. Also the ipod touch does not have everything the iphone has because you can't access the net from anywhere you want, and trust, that changes a lot. On top of that, please name one phone that I could buy that would give me the selection of software that the app store offers. lol gave up the iPhone for the Eternity? I started with the Eternity, switched to the iPhone after a week, and haven't looked back since. Honestly, after owning my iPhone for months and months, it blows the Eternity away. I'm sorry you hate Apple so much that you're willing to lie =] and PS – if iTunes is loading SO slow, get a comp that's not outdated
