I have had the Storm for a year now and have grown to love this phone, it's easily my favorite touch screen mobile phone on the Verizon network. When it first came out it was horrible, it had a lot of issues such as lag and freezing. Since then though RIM has released 2 firmware updates that have resolved all of these issues. The problem is it's still a phone that requires daily memory cleaning and OS maintance. The Storm works great if you clean the cache memory of the browser and the memory cleaning option found in Settings folder. Also helps when u you use the Pull Lite app that is free from the Blackberry App store. This app allows u to reset the phone without having to physically take the battery out, u can even schedule a daily time for the app to reset the phone. Doing this will free up application memory and keep the Storm from freezing and lag. I understand about all the negative reviews for the Storm when it first came out since it had major OS problems, but I feel that those who were smart consumers and waited for the updates before buying the phone like I did are having the last laugh enjoying a great phone. On one last note, I personally love the surepress keyboard, it takes a while to get use to, but with time and with the correct screen settings it works great.

This phone is garbage. Save yourself the hassle and don't buy it. It never works right, always freezes and resets for no reason. I wish i waited and got the Tour.

I am a user of the Storm and LOVE it. I just updated to the .148 Software and it is a BIG difference. Once learning the ins and outs of the Storm I cant leave home without it.

I agree with Sean and Andrew. This phone is great, you just have to get used to it. I had to return my storm 3 times and thought I really hate it. But once I get to "really" learn the ins & outs of this phone (like adjust the sensitivity of touchscreen, etc.), I love it! I can watch a movie while at the gym on eliptical machine, then switch to listening to music while doing sit ups. I don't think I can go back to traditional phone.

SCREW THE iPHONE!!!!! I had it and yah it was a great phone because of all the apps and thats pretty much it. Compared to the Blackberry Storm its old news. The Storm is such a great phone the camera is way better with video. I actually receive my emails as soon as I get them. I can receive and send pictures faster then sending a text message WITHOUT using some application like iQuip. The youtube is way better then the iPhone. It dont have a direct button to it but just go on the web faster results better video quality.

If your reading reviews to chose between the iPhone and the Storm thats exactly how i was 2months ago but i took a risk and got rid of my iPhone checked out the Storm and it was so worth it. The only thing i miss from my iPhone was the fun applications but thats it. GET THE STORM U WONT REGRET IT!!

i like my storm, iv used it for a about a week now, and iv downloaded aps, it dosent have a lot of space for apps but u can easly free up space by getting rid of like the tstuff it comes with, but as in testing its fine! i had to change the way i text to the norm phone one because im used to that, and i just have to get used to it, it makes it to where you can see exactly which button your about to clikc on befor you click down , so if you can master this youll save time in the long run, the internet on the storm is faster , and of corse that is because the network, but its a good phone iv never had a blackberry but i like this phone. you do need to spend a lil time with it b4 you can go about saying its good or not, it does freeze up on me sometimes but i think thats because iv got 5 aps running in the background like streaming internet radio or google maps, and internet explor , but im learning to close those after and it seems to be faster, as well as not haveing as many icone on the home page i think that makes it faster, anyway im still learning but i like my phone =p

I had high hopes for the Storm and I am greatly disappointed. This is the worst phone I have owned in years. The operating software is slow and clunky. The keyboard is miserable and has so many errors trying to suggest spelling or move to other screens it is nearly impossible to work with it. This phone would probably be ok for the person with a lot of free time on their hands to slowly type and wait for screens to load. But for a business phone this product os garbage and BlackBerry should be ashamed. My recommendation is DO NOT BUY IT. It is only pretty, not a useful tool.

I think the largest misconception about the Blackberry Storm was that it was supposed to be Blackberry's response to the iPhone, but that really wasn't the intent at all. The Storm was meant to be Blackberry's way of pushing technology like the iPhone.

No, the SurePress may not be for everyone, but I personally have had great success with it and find it to be much more accurate than the iPhones. On this note I also find it worthy to express that the Storm can landscape into a full QWERTY, while the iPhone only landscapes during internet browsing. This is a drastic difference considering how squished together the keyboard in the iPhone is.

I definitely have to agree that the phone has its glitches, and I am not sure when we as humans failed to be so thankful for the great technologies presented to us rather than spoiled children, upset that our phones do not give us the instant gratification that we crave.

I believe the Blackberry Storm is a fabulous progression in the Blackberry generations and will make for a good competition against the iPhone because of its ability to progress.
