Looks like a mini casket from superior view in its case. Don't like it at all, especially the rainbow variety of colors.

Apple still hasn't fixed the issues with the earlier Nano versions, and they won't even address them such as the "horizontal line of mystery" across the screen of either over active pixels or dead pixels.

There is evidence of these problems dating back to posts in 2003 and since.

My Nano has the same problem and when I called support they literally tried to dismiss it as my imagination and wouldn't provide an email address where I could mail a high-res photo of the problem.

This, along with everything else such as when their Mac Books have buggy video cards and they're reluctant to replace them, or when a known bug exists with licensed iTunes songs that can't be unlocked and authorized to play after you reboot your PC.... why would anyone rush to buy another iPod from the Cult of Steve ???

OH, and what does any of this other stuff besides the "line of mystery" have to do with the new Nano ???? /// Plenty since with Apple it's all about the integrated products, the iPhone, iTouch, iTV, iPod and iTunes.

All Apple Products have a core component called "U-Screwed" and the version number is whatever amount of money you've paid for Apple Gear.

OH, and I hate Micro$oft gear too, just because M$ is junk doesn't make Apple quality.

"Yet another thing to end up in our land fills."

Not if you bring your old iPod back to apple. They will recycle it and you also get a 10% discount on a new iPod.

Products don't have to become waste if we design their entire material cycles.

I have to say the new design isn't doing it for me. The rounded face and edges completely go against the flat, sharp-edge, minimalist design that Apple has (so far) been able to pull off brilliantly.

Jay, that looks like Steve Ballmer in one of his gyrations on stage at a Microsoft event.

The form factor is very appealing but it's the other stuff that will be announced that will make the difference. ;-)
