Comic relief: The world is out of iPhones!
Well, not quite. As of Sunday 9 p.m., according to Apple's (AAPL) availability widget, there were three stores in the United States that still had iPhone 3Gs in stock:
- New York City, Fifth Avenue: White 16GB only
- Pleasanton, Calif., Stoneridge Mall: Black 16GB only
- Salem, N.H., Rockingham Park: White 16GB only
What would the world look like without that widget? Below the fold, Justine Ezarik (iJustine) gives us a peek:
It might be worth your time to note that people across the world are having a hard time catching a solid 3g signal. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1602608&tstart=0
Folks,
This quarter report has NOTHING to do with the iPhone3G. Apple did great last quarter; it's just a question of how great — Chill
On the contrary, I believe the phones being sold out is a good thing for a shareholder like me. There's a pent up demand that supply is not meeting now but doesn't necessarily mean will not be met within this quarter. If they're still sold out at the end of September, then we might have a problem.
Great, this exactly what Apple DOES not need before earnings. I am already down 2K on my apple investment ( http://www.savingtoinvest.com/2008/07/did-i-buy-apple-to-late-2k-loss-to-date.html) and as I lamented, I wish I had the bought the stock this week, rather than before the iPhone. Anyway, I will wait and see if my paper losses grow or disappear today.
Your previous posts worry me in terms of earnings! Also, my local Apple store ran out of iPhones on thursday last week
Did anyone do any fact checking for typos or anything like that?
Apple Store Stoneridge Mall has only Black 16GB model as opposed to what's written here.
ex ped: This early in the morning, it's just you and me. Fixed. Thanks for the catch.

that song that was playing in the end was with Talking Heads…This must be the place
