I'm happy to see this report delivered so promptly. I like Sony products in general and am delighted to see the recognition of blue-ray by vendors who listen to consumers--Sony did a great job with this technology. However, I'm more struck that this (otherwise invisible) press conference is reported in the breathless style used by Apple fan boy reporters blogging the "Stevenote" from an Apple event. Not only does Apple influence products and markets, it seems they now inspire how the news is reported. Or perhaps the reporter is making an ironic comment in form. Either way, the world has changed.
