I find this case to have some merit within it. The whole case with Windows V. Microsoft had to do primary, as the rivals where concerned, the monopoly over the Internet Explorer and allowing it, on the Windows computer, to have a unfair advantage. Basically they are comparing that to the ipod not allowing it to have Windows format. You could plainly see, at least, some kind of relationship between them. Overall, it comes down to Windows wanting some justice for themselves.

Man, that's dirty. Who cares if WMA isn't supported?

What if I came up with my own format for audio compression (that's all it is) and a million people started using it. Would I sue Apple for not supporting it? The answer is no. Do you know why? Because I'm not a dick.

Better to spend money on a desirable operating system (Vista is not), I say, than on a lawsuit that'll just make you look worse than you already do.

why is this idiot wasting time trying to call Apple to the mat for not allowing WMA to work with iTunes or iPods. Do people even use WMA anymore? What is it and why would you use it? why would someone be so old school and stubborn to sue Apple over this? this is absolutely nothing but another anti-Apple publicity stunt. Maybe someone in the Zune team created the stunt to try to get someone in the world to not buy an iPod or iPhone. Good luck on that one.

Correction - you can play games on a mac - if you’re running windows on it bwuahahahah

Posted By Dave,

Why is it that the same wankers who deride the Mac as a "toy" unsuitable for business are the first to get all hot and bothered about games?

FRICKIN' WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! Apple came up with iTunes and it came up with the iPod too, so I'll use the same logic that microsoft defenders use, "If someone doesn't want it, they can choose something else." Microsoft is involved here in the same scenario as the pot calling the kettle black...nothing more, nothing less.

Jan Swesey you are the most uninformed person on this board. Only an narrow minded person believes he or she fits into any one political party.

As for the Chain and India kicking the US's butt... sure ok, but wait, wait then why are all those products made in Chain and India designed and sold in the U.S. Oh no it wouldn't be because US companies are looking to maximize profit for their share holders by paying some uneducated 3rd world person 50 cents an hour would it? I'll give you a clue it's not because their just so much more capable than US workers.

Oh and how about Billy Boy. I actually liked Bill Clinton but he gets way way too to much credit for the economy in the 90s.

First one of the main reasons the economy was soooo good in the 90s was the Y2K scare. Companies were so scared they were going to lose all there data do to some computer disaster they over spent the budgets just to get all their computers to Y2K complaint. This also led to one of the main reasons spending declined so mush after Y2K.

Second look at all the companies that were cooking their books to push their stock prices higher, which allowed the companies to barrow more money because of the stock price. Once the Y2K spending dried up and the stock prices pulled back companies started not being able to pay the bills and poof the bubble burst.

Finally as a supposed investor you should know that the fed has million times more influence on the overall economy then presidential policies.

Oh but wait I need to comment on the ignorant oil statement too. Oil is inflated because inverters are betting people can't and won't break their addiction to SUVs and Trucks and oil supplies will be low in the future and because of people like you their probably right. Oh and don't forget the weak dollar which affects oil prices as well, but your an investor and you should know this.

ok, Dave from minneapolis, microsoft has been making word and excel for macs since before Windows ever came out! i have my 1.0 floppys for my mac plus still. Office wasn't around then, it was called multiworks, if i recall correctly, and was bundled with all macs back then. Gates worked for Apple then, dude! As for not playing games, i do that on my mac. as for not running wma, i play them in my itunes. as for wmp, there's an app called win4mac that allows it all to be played on macs. as for a monopoly, this is not one. apple allows windows to be used on it's macs, and all their software as well. i'm at a loss as to why this suit is even being brought.
