That Barbara person did take it a bit far on her decision, but respectfully, thats her choice. I've owned both a mac and PC's,and BOTH have pluses and drawbacks depending on how or what I need to do with them. I had to trade my Iphone for a blackberry ONLY because it doesn't really support corporate email. it didnt make me sexy , but I thought it was a cool gadget. nothing more.

I see people still don't get it. Barbara freaks out about not being able to have her computer fixed locally, but it wasn't broken. They are not PC's, I know that there have been Macs that have had repairs required, but since my first SE-30 in 1996, I have purchased 2 iMac's, an iBook, and and a MacBook. I have never had anything break, I did sell the SE-30, but I bet it still works.

Yes there is software limitations, let's see… Most software titles are not only avalable, they run better. You can get MS Office, Quickbooks, oh, you can't get Barbie Makeover 4.5 well BIG DEAL

I was completely disappointed with Apple computers after trying a Mac out for about 2 months. Apple doesn't seem to understand the concept of choice. In all of their software, they try to force you to do things the "one way" that they deem acceptable. It's very annoying.

Besides that, it runs very hot and I am afraid that it will burn down my house after reading all of those stories about Macbooks catching fire.

Barbara Wilson does seem to be a bit of a fool.

I am relieved that Apple lost her as a customer. It is not worth dealing with an idiot to make a buck. I always believe that the customer should never come before common sense. It is better to pay a fool to go away than to try to cater to the fool and end up with pain in the butt. Barbara is a foolish troll who should be banished from using any Apple product for the rest of her life.

I love reading the Mac fan's. "Please reconsider your purchase you will not be dissappointed". I didn't really think Amazon was a big computer retailer anyway, so lets get all excited. I think we should just wait for some data from the whole industry. People really need to take everything they hear with a grain of salt. I use Vista and it works just fine, but from what you hear its a nightmare. Reminds me of the evening news in the U.S., get some real world opinions of those who use the products and then make a desicion on which brand to go with. Just don't like the firebombs and retarted commercials to try to trick people into buying something which reminds me of politics in the U.S.

Give me a break, troll. You buy a machine that works fine, has a free fed ex mail repair policy and then you return it cause the guy next door is not authorized to repair it if it ever breaks!! ?????

I am 90 miles from the nearest Apple repair place. My iBook broke and they fed ex'd a mailer box and had it back within 4 days of my original call. Its been working fine up until and ever since. Troll.

Small world, I to am in Olympia. As far as service goes I would have never take my machines to 4th Dimension anyhow. I just had to have some warranty work done on my MacBook (motherboard) I called the 800 line, they sent me a self-addressed return box, I sent it out and within 2 days had it sent back fixed and running perfectly. Overall I think it went out on a Friday and was home the next Wednesday. I was very pleased and didn't have to do any traveling. This must have been your first Mac purchase. I've been using them since 1986 and have been very please with their service. They have consistently been rated top of the list for service. You should reconsider your purchase you won't be dissappointed.
