I bought my first iPod (8 GB Generation 3 Nano) about two months ago--at age 58. It's changed the way I exercise and the way I travel for business. Good quality, easy to operate--the way all technology should work.

The biggest problem is that the purchase price of the device itself isn't all you need to spend. First, better headphones are a must. I invested another $150 to get ones that offer reasonable sound quality. By the time I also purchased the charger for my car, the charger for my house, and a case to protect the device from scratches & dirt, I had easily doubled the original $200 cost. Since I've got a big CD library that has been the source of all the music I've put on the machine, I haven't invested a dime with iTunes, but I can see this could get to be pretty expensive gizmo over time.

On Black Friday at the age of 38 I purchased my first iPod—a nano at that. It is a clever gadget and I'm using it to port music around with me between my home office and tinkering in the garage.

I have an Ipod Nano now, but I want a new one! The thing that is keeping me from getting the new IPOD is the battery life! I have had mine for a little over a year and use it a lot. Now the battery will only keep a charge about 3 hours of regular use. So when apple gets its act together in respects for battery life then I will look a the new ones.

I was never a big ipod fan although my children have them. Got an i-touch for my anniversary and now I'm hooked. So many songs from the past that are now a click away. Can I be the only baby boomer that loves to be able to reach out and "touch" the oldies. Apple will keep running. Wish Steve Jobs was running the company I work for.

I won't touch the iPod touch until it comes with 32 GB of flash memory. It has to at least equal to my 5G iPod 30 GB model. I hate to wait, but I know a larger memory model has to be due soon. Maybe just in time for the Christmas season.

I have had two already, but I really want a new one. My old one is really ancient, but still works great. My other one I lost. You have to be a bit daft to think that the current models will not sell. They are all nice and new and offer much more than before.

Well, I just bought an Ipod touch. I had never had a mobile mp3 player before, so I guess there must be other people like me out there. Market share will grow just because more and more people will want to own Ipods now that they have proven themselves to be more that a fad... Ipods are fabulous.
