Well, it's obvious why SONY is whining about Apple's policies. Their industrial design team has succeeded in creating yet another round of completely boring (I can hear people snoring) players. Apple succeeds because their industrial design is infinitely better then everybody else's. Have they ever held an iPhone in their hands? how about a iPod Nano? or even an iPod Touch? The actual feel of Apple's products sets them apart from everyone else's. Clearly, they (SONY) just doesn't get it, good design sells.

Hmmm - let's see, in Jon Fortt's 11/8 article, Sony dislikes proprietary formats, but I think, if I'm correct, that uh, WMA is a pr*pr*etary format, made by Microsoft. I personally believe Sony and Microsoft should simply make ipod accessories instead of trying to fool everyone, including themselves. The ipod is a groundbreaking invention, if companies didn't have the vision to build one in the first place, then their derivative, me-too players simply aren't going to cut the mustard.
